Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. General

Aihio Labs Oy sells digital products and services subject to special refund and cancellation terms. These terms supplement our general Terms of Service.

2. Digital Products and Services

Digital products and services include:

  • Premium access to content
  • Subscription-based services
  • Digital content (e.g., articles, videos, audio files)
  • Licenses for web services and applications
  • Other electronically delivered products

3. No Right of Withdrawal for Digital Products

Important Notice:

Digital products have no right of withdrawal when delivered immediately after purchase and when you have expressly acknowledged that:

  • Content will be delivered to you immediately after purchase
  • The 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer protection law is waived

4. Waiver of Right of Withdrawal

During the purchase process, you will be explicitly asked to accept the following:

"I acknowledge that digital content will be delivered to me immediately after purchase, and I understand that I thereby forfeit the 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer protection law."

This is a necessary prerequisite for purchasing digital products and is based on the exception provided in Article 16(e) of EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

5. Right to Complaint

Although digital products have no right of withdrawal, you have the right to complain if the product:

  • Does not match the product description
  • Is defective or incomplete
  • Does not function technically as promised
  • Is not available for the agreed period

6. Reporting and Correcting Defects

6.1 Reporting a Defect

If you discover a defect in a digital product, notify us without delay:

The defect notification should include:

  • Order number or reference
  • Purchased product or service
  • Description of the defect
  • Any screenshots or error messages

6.2 Correcting Defects

After a legitimate defect notification:

  1. We will investigate the issue and respond within 2 business days
  2. We will correct the defect within a reasonable time
  3. If the defect cannot be corrected, we will refund the payment or offer an alternative solution

7. Exceptional Circumstances

We will consider refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:

7.1 Technical Issues

If our service experiences a technical disruption that prevents product use and cannot be corrected within a reasonable time, we will refund the payment in full or in part.

7.2 Incorrect Charges

If you have been charged incorrectly (e.g., double charging), we will refund the incorrect payment immediately.

7.3 Order Cancellation Before Delivery

If you wish to cancel your order before the digital content is delivered, you can do so by contacting customer service. In this case, the right of withdrawal remains valid and we will refund the payment in full.

8. Subscription Cancellation

8.1 Recurring Subscriptions

If you have subscribed to an ongoing service (e.g., monthly subscription):

  • You can cancel the subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the start of the next billing period
  • Already paid periods are non-refundable
  • You can continue using the service until the end of the paid period

8.2 Fixed-Term Subscriptions

Fixed-term subscriptions (e.g., annual subscription) cannot be canceled during the subscription period unless there are exceptional circumstances (see section 7).

9. Refund Process

If you are entitled to a refund:

  2. We will process the refund within 5-10 business days
  3. We will refund to the same payment method used for the purchase
  4. The refund will appear in your account within 3-5 business days depending on your bank's processing times

10. Credits and Compensation

Credit or compensation may be granted in the following forms:

  • Full or partial cash refund
  • Credit toward next order
  • Alternative product or service
  • Subscription period extension

We determine the form of credit on a case-by-case basis, always aiming to benefit the customer.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect damages, such as:

  • Loss of revenue
  • Data loss
  • Business interruption
  • Other indirect damages

Our liability is limited to the price of the product or service purchased.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Consumer customers have the right to submit disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board:
